From image to painting
Step by step: convert, place the file, load it ingame. Applies to ARK: Survival Evolved and Ascended.
Upload your image
Drag your image onto the upload area, pick a file or paste it straight from the clipboard. Images with clean edges and few colors give the best results – logos, lettering, pixel art.
Choose game and object type
Set whether the file is generated for Survival Ascended or Survival Evolved and pick the target object: canvas, sign, flag, war paint or dino. Each type has its own resolution – the preview shows the matching crop.
Fine-tune colors
ARK only knows a fixed dye palette. In the color overview you can disable individual colors or automatically remove rarely used ones – this reduces noise and makes the artwork calmer. The ingame preview refreshes via "Update".
Place the file
Download the .pnt file and place it in your game's MyPaintings folder:
ASE: …\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\MyPaintings\
If the folder doesn't exist, just create it. The file name must not contain special characters.
Load it ingame
Start ARK, equip a paintbrush and aim at the object. Open the paint menu, choose "Load Paint" and find your file in the list. The painting is applied pixel by pixel – large artworks need a matching amount of dye.
On servers, loading custom paintings must be allowed. In single player it always works. If your artwork doesn't show up in the list: check path and file extension, then restart the game.
